Every one of those started as one problem.
Not one of them began as a system. Somebody said a sentence about the thing that was driving them mad, and the first working piece existed inside two days.
Then it snowballed. You fix the one that hurts, and it shows you the next one, and the one after that. The gas plant system started as a search box. The operating system started as a stock count. Client names are left out on purpose.
